Our Methodology

The mission of the P.O.W.E.R. method is: Engage. Enrich. Empower. It’s based on the concept that learning happens when training has focused content, meaningful user experience, and a timelessly beautiful visual design. Simply put, we make training that learners want to take and that they take something from!

The P.O.W.E.R. method merges instructional design principles with user experience concepts to produce learner-centric training that works. Not only that, collaboration and feedback are integrated throughout the project lifecycle to ensure we deliver the right product the first time, every time. We don’t just build training for our clients, we build it with our clients.

Plan

This is the project intake phase. Here, we analyze project needs by gathering and performing a high-level overview of content and training goal. We also identify the stakeholders, audience, technology, timelines, and all of the details that make for a smooth project and successful delivery. We want to get it right from the beginning.

Outline

This is our content analysis phase. Here we begin collaborating with SMEs to define measurable learning outcomes and define the level of learning. We develop a content map that matches the learning outcomes to the source content. We also identify and address any content gaps, then finally, we create a design plan using all the information gathered during the outline.

Workup

This is our storyboarding phase. Here we design the content on a visual storyboard that includes detailed page layouts, navigation, interactions, narration, and other multimedia elements for the training. We use visual storyboards because it gives our stakeholders the ability to review both the content and the look and feel of the product.

Execute

This is our development phase. Here we bring our storyboards to life using modern training development tools as identified in the planning phase. We build robust, cutting-edge interactions and focus on user experience, quality, usability, and accessibility.

Release

This is our wrap-up phase. Here we turn the final product over to the client and it’s ready for them to begin using. As part of our wrap-up, we ask for feedback about our processes and relationship during the project. This is because we believe clients are partners, so we view their opinions as an invaluable resource for our continuous improvement and success.
